UNBELIEVABLE - Cain Velasquez hit Kongo's head 251 times! CAIN VELASQUEZ landed an astonishing 251 punches to Cheick Kongo's HEAD during their UFC 99 heavyweight clash - leaving the Frenchman requiring a CAT scan. Those strikes helped the American earn a unanimous decision victory to underline his growing reputation as the main threat to Brock Lesnar's championship crown. Amazingly, Velasquez nailed 114 of those blows in the LAST ROUND of their encounter, with 86 landing in the first period and 51 connecting in the second. In contrast, the Frenchman could only connect with 31 punches to his opponent's head, although 10 of those visibly rocked Velasquez.
